现在可注册@My.com电邮地址

myMail App在我之前介绍Mail.ru的帖子里提到过，它是Mail.ru公司提供的邮件App，它的官网是my.com，这个网站是Mail.ru走移动路线的品牌。时至今日，估计为了国际化，推出了@My.com电邮地址。但是，注册这个电邮地址可不容易，没有web注册，只有先下载它的App，在App里完成注册。Android版本的唯一下载地址是Google Play，非Google Play的其他市场，软件版本都很旧，没有注册功能。但是，国内的山寨厂商，基本都封了Google Play，至少我的2台手机（米2和三星Note2），都打不开Google Play。于是，只能想办法从电脑下载Google Play的原版apk文件，上传到手机，安装后再注册@My.com电邮地址。它号称移动专用，与普通邮箱不同点：

• 没有webmail
• 貌似客户端如outlook也无法使用
• 没有密码
• 只能从APP登录，每次新登录，需要手机接受验证码

Android/iOS: If you’re looking for a new (or alternative) email address, or just a way to get a ton of free cloud storage, My.com’s new mobile-only email service lets you get any address you want at their domain, and it comes with 150GB of storage, to boot.

The service is built exclusively for smartphones and tablets, with native apps for iOS and for Android. Like any email service, the apps provide customizable push notifications when you get new messages, and along with your account, you get 150GB of storage for your emails, attachments, and files. The down-side is that you have to upload those files through the app as attachments to make use of the storage, and there’s no desktop access to the storage or the service right now, which is a definite bummer.

My.com is actually a service from the folks at Mail.ru, and the new mobile-only service actually eschews passwords to access your account in favor of SMS-based authentication. In short, when you try to log in to your account, the service will ask you a question and send you a passcode to the registered phone number. You use the temporary passcode to log in. It’s an interesting approach to security—one that works better if you’re using My.com on a tablet or another device and use your phone as a second factor—if someone has physical access to your phone and the app, it’s over, but the same is true for anything else on your device.
